Come find inspiration in the breathtaking local colors of the Southern Utah Landscape. With a rich history and many breathtaking local canyons to choose from this is set to be a unique Plein Air experience.

MISSION STATEMENT:

To promote the centuries-old tradition of painting directly from life and its many benefits. We provide our members with paint outs, opportunities to expand their knowledge through shared experiences, engaging talks, expert lead workshops, and participation in public exhibitions. We recognize excellence and encourage curiosity, promote the conservation of Southern Utah public lands and value the camaraderie that our event brings to the Plein air community.

FESTIVAL ITINERARY

Festival Dates:  Sept 22-30, 2023

Workshop Dates: Sept 22-23rd with Julie Rodgers 

Sept 25,  Mon

  • 7 am-Noon Checkin & Stamping
  • 5:30 pm Artists welcome, meet and greet at Art Provides 

Sept 26, Tues  

  • 9 am-Noon Checkin & Stamping 
  • 9am-Noon Group Paint out at RedHills Desert Garden - 375 E Red Hills Parkway St George. View photos of the garden at redhillsdesertgarden.com
  Sept 27, Wed
  • 7 pm  Eventing Talk
  • 1st ART drop off open 10 am - 4 pm

Sept 28, Thurs

  • Paint Paint Paint  - Need help scouting a location click here for the fb group and our local plein air map 
  • 2nd Art Drop off open 10 am - 4 pm

Sept 29, Friday 

  • FINAL ART DROP 10 am - 4 pm

Sept 30, Sat 

  • 8 am - 1 pm - Closed while art is hung
  • 1-2 pm - Closed for Judging
  • 2 pm - Private First Look 
  • 3 - 6 pm  Open Reception - All are welcome! 
  • 3-4 pm peoples choice voting
  • 4 pm  Awards presented
  • Thank you to our sponsors
  • 5-6 pm music and mingling
