Patricia Knott was born and raised in Kansas, and currently lives in St. George, Utah. Her interest in art began early with many childhood activities that encourage creativity, problem solving, and “making” things. Her love of process led her to a life of learning and exploration of various creative mediums from drawing, painting, and photography to quilting, sewing and knitting. A creative aptitude served her well in a 30 year career as an educator in public schools. These days Patricia’s work falls into the category of art quilts, using fabric and thread, as well as, photography and digital tools to produce stitched and layered images. Her art quilts have shown locally at the St. George Art Museum.
