HOW DOES YOUR ART ANSWER THE CALL “Moving Light”

Light moves emotion. What we see is open to interpretation and depends upon the eye of the beholder. The light reflecting off of an object can cause the soul to rise or lead to the depths of despair. Light moves you as it moves.

There is moving light in the eye of the subject seen in this painting. How the subject is moved is open to interpretation - the eye of the observer of the piece.

BIO & ARTIST STATEMENT

Tamara Ridge is an American artist (07/11/1966) who discovered the joy of creation later in life and after healing a lifetime of trauma. Her works include joyful subjects across various mediums, including watercolor, colored pencils and acrylics. Creating daily, and practicing the art of drawing what she sees, Tamara explores art the way she has explored the world. Since the beginning of the Pandemic, Tamara has traveled with her partner and dogs, taking in the beauty of nature all along the Mountain West region of the U.S. and enjoying the freedom of inner peace! Tamara continues to discover her preferred style - as each piece she works on seems to be her favorite! This piece is inspired by witnessing connection during childhood, yet not being allowed to participate. To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear.” — Stephen Levine
