Dinner on Main Live Art Experience

Call for Artists

ART Provides is seeking local artists to participate in the Dinner on Main Live Art Experience on September 17, 2026 — 5-9PM, celebrating creativity, community, and the spirit of St. George.

This year, rather than creating a separate art exhibit during Dinner on Main, artists will be woven directly into the event itself. Selected artists will create live throughout the evening, giving guests the opportunity to watch the creative process unfold, meet local artists, and engage with art as part of the shared dinner experience.

Theme: Gathering Together

Dinner on Main is centered around gathering as a community around a shared table, strengthening connection, culture, and the spirit of our city.

All participating artists will respond to the shared prompt:

Gathering Together

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme in their own unique style and medium, exploring ideas of connection, belonging, community, place, shared experience, or the spirit of Dinner on Main.

Artist Participation

Selected artists will:

  • Create artwork live during Dinner on Main on September 17.
  • Engage with guests and share their creative process throughout the evening.
  • Bring their own easel, supplies, and materials needed to create during the event.
  • Complete or substantially complete one piece during the event.
  • Retain full ownership of the artwork they create.
  • Make the completed artwork available for display in the post-event exhibition.

Artists may offer their work for sale directly from the easel during Dinner on Main.

Exhibition + Award

Following Dinner on Main, artwork created during the event will be featured in a community exhibition from September 21–28, 2026, location to be announced.

Artwork may also be offered for sale throughout the exhibition.

All participating artwork, including sold pieces, must remain on display through the close of the exhibition. Purchased artwork may be collected by the buyer after the exhibition concludes.

One participating artist will receive a special award and cash prize recognizing their contribution to the event.

Please submit:

  • 3–5 images of your artwork
  • A brief artist statement
  • Your website and/or social media, if available
  • The medium you plan to work in during the event

About the Experience

Dinner on Main is more than an evening meal. It is an opportunity for our community to gather, connect, and experience downtown St. George together.

By placing artists within the event rather than apart from it, the Dinner on Main Live Art Experience invites creativity into that gathering. Guests become part of the atmosphere surrounding the work, artists gain an opportunity to connect directly with the community, and the artwork created becomes a lasting reflection of the evening.
